Report of Executive Board Actions:

Updated August 20, 2007

 In an attempt to keep all Locals better informed as to upcoming actions needing approval at our next Council meeting, I will be making these reports to the Local Presidents after our Executive Board meetings and prior to the regular council meeting.

 At our meeting August 16, 2007, the Board:

 Approved the previous meeting minutes,

 Moved to approve the Chair’s appointment of Phil Hannemann (Local 9511) as the new Vice Chair of the Council.

 Moved to adopt the same committee budgets that we last approved for the past fiscal year.  Remember that the budgets were very late last year due to no committee chairs and

required a lot of work due to the financial future of the council.

 We also discussed the idea of forwarding minutes of the previous meeting to the locals prior to the council meeting for your review.  That will be taking effect with the minutes of our July 26^th meeting.

 It is my hope the delegates will approve these actions at our next meeting.  If you should have a question or a suggestion regarding the Council, please contact me.
